More Liff
Our liff dictionary gives words - which happen to be actual names of towns or cities somewhere in the world - to objects and experiences that demand to be named, but never have been. Until now. Great idea ? Thanks, but it is not ours. Douglas Adams and John Lloyd wrote the original books The (deeper) Meaning of Liff
(rss) E.g. :
- Wotter
- Trying to urinate with an erected member.
- Calloose
- The sudden urge to shout 'ME !' at a wedding when the vicar asks… "Does anyone here know of any reason why these two should not be joined in holy matrimony ? Speak now or forever hold your peace…
- Pune
- The status of a good book, cd or other now lost item that you clearly remember loaning to a friend who now vehemently denies it.
- Telbasta
- A fact that is set in stone. It will not be changed, whatever you do. Don't even think of arguing to change a Telbasta. A Telbasta will be changed when hell freezes over.
